Sighthound Care Programme

Every sighthound in my care follows a structured programme built around one goal: a safe, enriching and genuinely happy stay. I keep dogs physically fit, mentally stimulated and socially settled, and I adjust the plan as I get to know your hound. Sighthounds only, in a calm, climate-controlled home in NW London.

This is the same care every boarding stay receives. Boarding is the relaxed home-from-home service, priced per night from £77; the Residential Recall programme is a separate, intensive seven-night-minimum stay focused on recall, from £850. Every dog begins with a meet and greet and a one-night assessment, so I can read your dog and tailor everything that follows.

Indoor enrichment

Inside, the priority is rest, security and quiet confidence. The dogs settle into a steady routine in a comfortable home where they can wind down properly.

Outdoor enrichment

Outside, sighthounds need real exercise and proper stimulation. Walks vary in length and location to keep dogs interested, including time on the open green spaces of Hampstead Heath.

The Big Six commands

Recall training builds on six foundations that make a sighthound safe and a pleasure to live with: Recall, Stay, Wait, Sit, Down and Heel. Sighthounds learn differently from retrievers and collies, so I work with lower repetition and higher reward, always mindful of the prey-drive response that shapes everything these dogs do.

Tracking weight and progress

I weigh each dog at the start of the stay and at weekly intervals, so I can be sure your hound is holding or reaching its goal weight. Raw food is included throughout, and I keep you involved with daily WhatsApp photo and video updates so you can see exactly how your dog is getting on.

I review each dog’s behaviour as the stay goes on and tweak the programme when needed, so physical and mental needs are always met. You go home with a clear plan to keep building on the work.

Arrange a meet and greet

If you would like your sighthound to join the programme, the first step is a meet and greet and a one-night assessment. Message my assistant to get started, or read more about boarding and recall training and how I work.
